Artist of the Week is WOAHGETTER
Our Artist of the Week is WOAHGETTER.
Following the release of ‘I Can’t Love You Anymore’, alt-indie collective WOAHGETTER returns with ‘Even Dad Had A Fiver On Love’ – a sharp, surreal take on modern romance.
Blending angular guitars, chamber-pop strings and infectious melodies, the Northampton group delivers a manic internal monologue on love, doubt, and disillusionment – anchored by a sardonic baritone and backed by five (allegedly unrelated) voices.
Listen to ‘Even Dad Had A Fiver On Love’ here:
WOAHGETTER’s self-production keeps things raw, restless and oddly uplifting. Imagine The National with a hangover and Father John Misty cracking jokes in the corner.
With just two singles to their name, WOAHGETTER are already gaining a reputation for ambitious songwriting and boundary-pushing live shows. ‘Even Dad Had A Fiver On Love’ is another bold, brilliant step forward.
