Artist of the Week is Bible Club
Our Artist of the Week is Bible Club.
Bristolian post-punk outfit Bible Club introduce their sophomore EP, Umbra, with its title track offering the first glimpse of the project. A bold evolution from their debut, Umbra blends post-rock, post-punk, and shoegaze into an intricate soundscape, delivering a politically charged critique of societal stagnation.
“Umbra captures the stark awareness of a world stuck in disarray”, the band states. Built on interwoven guitars shifting between stark asymmetry and powerful unity, the track conveys a sense of disillusionment with contemporary life.

Produced by Dom Mitchison, Umbra marks a creative turning point. “We focused on our songwriting and explored a more developed sound with a core concept”, the band explains. The studio process deepened their artistic identity, pushing them into more ambitious territory.
Since 2021, Bible Club has emerged as a leading voice in Bristol’s alternative scene, drawing influence from CAN, Electrelane, and Spacemen 3. Their intense live performances, shifting from contemplative to chaotic, have built them a strong following.
