Artist Of The Week: Yvonne Hercules

A singer-songwriter based in London, Yvonne Hercules is our Artist Of The Week! Coming across footage of Lightnin’ Hopkins performing truly inspired her to want to hone her songwriting and playing ability. Her music is a culmination of folk, blues, rock & soul with a discerning edge underpinned by honest, thought-provoking lyrics, with inflections of her parents’ record collection that featured traditional Nigerian music, reggae, Motown & soul  that played a part in her musical upbringing.
