Artist Of The Week – Yurosa

Our featured Artist Of The Week this time around is Yurosa, the electronic pop alias of London’s James Debroy. His music playfully pulls elements from R&B and pop and hangs them over a framework of downtempo house and electronic beats, creating a soulful backdrop for his syrupy sweet vocals to take centre stage. Our favourite cut, “Coming Back”, is a slinky chilled-out number that could perfectly soundtrack a cool evening out as dusk sets in, with Debroy crooning hazily as the drums keep a steady, swaying tempo. Fans of Banks and The XX will definitely want to give Yurosa a spin.
