Bradford based alt pop/rock band Meihaus are this week’s ‘Artist Of The Week’ with their track ‘Shiver’.
’Shiver’ is packed full of great harmonies and textures. The chorus really lifts the song and the groove ticks along keeping your head nodding throughout. Take a listen:
This week’s ‘Artist Of The Week’ are London based Goldbirds. They were recently chosen to perform on a Richer Unsigned busking spot at Stonefree festival.
Goldbirds are hot on the scene and were formed early last year releasing weighty single after single. With a fusion of raw, heartfelt vocals and a sweet guitar riff as the basis of the song you can’t help but tap your feet when listening to their third single ‘Empire.’ You get into the groove of summer, with the festival feeling, sounding sweet online but certainly better live – keep an eye out for the delicious melodies and vocals provided by Goldbirds.
This week’s ‘Artist Of The Week’ is brought to you courtesy of Tileyard, a boutique management and publishing company. London based electro-pop queen Hannah Jane Lewis came to our attention a couple of years ago when she performed as part of our Record Store Days celebrations.
Her sound is is ethereal and melodic, with funky synthesised sounds mixed throughout. Her song “Why Start A War” is a fantastic listen from start to finish, with an immensely catchy chorus, beautiful vocals and that awesome synth effect flowing throughout the song. She’s definitely one to keep an eye out for, and well worth a listen!
Artist Of The Week this week is Val Maugenest with her track ‘Pieces’.
‘Pieces’ provides a rich tapestry of textures and colours from the very start drawing the listener in. The chorus melody is unusual and yet super catchy. When you are least expecting it, an intimate middle 8 featuring a male vocalist creates a great contrast to Val’s voice, before the song builds to the final chorus. Well worth a listen or three!
Malorry Torr is this week’s ‘Artist of The Week’, with her track ‘The Joker & The Thief’ (chosen by Time Out London).
With snappy beats, dark synthesised sounds and smooth vocals – Malorry
Torr makes her presence known for 2016. Torr has been consistently
dropping tracks and this summer could truly be her time to shine on the UK
music scene. Her hooks are tight, punchy and most importantly catchy. ‘The
Joker and a thief’ combines a heavy drum beat, supported by Malory Torr’s
loveable vocals for a joyous tune sure enough to be a summer hit.
Keep an eye out for this London based musical sensation and check out her
track ‘The joker and a thief’ for this weeks Artist of The Week.
