Artist Of The Week: Emily Lockett

Our Artist Of The Week is Emily Lockett. This talented singer and songwriter hailing from Stoke on Trent is just 16, but has a writing style well beyond her years. Emily’s delicate-yet-powerful voice beautifully delivers heartfelt and earnest lyrics about love and longing, with a lot of care and attention put into impactful choruses and stellar harmonies. With tasteful production that walks a line between folk and more modern pop techniques, highlighted especially well in our favourite song “Where We Left Off”, Emily is definitely one to watch!

Artist Of The Week: The Shrives

We’ve chosen The Shrives as our Artist Of The Week! This rock n roll band from Grantham/Nottingham formed in early 2014.  After finding out they had a fan in Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, the band was off to California to record their debut album ‘Back In The Morrow’, with Armstrong in the producer’s chair. They released the album in early 2017, with their first single gaining attention from Kerrang!, NME and Rock Sound. The band has followed up with a string of new singles fresh from the studio, which fans of all walks of rock are sure to enjoy! Check out our favourite “Money Maker” and hear for yourself:

Our Artist Of The Week is Lycio. Out of Birmingham, this contemporary 3-piece brings a unique take on pop music, adding a distinct dance floor-approved electro twist (all played 100% live) that adds dynamics and powerful punch to the band’s catchy songwriting and hooks. No Sunlight is our Artist Of The Week. This alternative/post-hardcore band that hails from Manchester formed in mid-2014, going on to win Firestone Tyres’ national Battle Of The Bands in 2016. No Sunlight’s sound is a barrage of heavy, aggressive guitar riffs, driving drums and hooky vocals that fans of Alkaline Trio, Thrice and Alexisonfire will love.
