Pinero Serene is our Artist Of The Week! The London-based duo, bass player Cheryl Pinero and vocalist Neeq Serene, aim to create dream-like experiences with their music, as melancholic vocals drift across a wash of reverb-drenched guitars and melodic bass tones. Their debut EP Dark Matter is out on July 12th 2019, but check out the jaw-dropping “Take My Soul” to get yourself primed in the meantime:
Blue Kubricks is our Artist Of The Week! Originally forming in 2016 as a trio, some lineup changes and shifting home bases finally saw Jim and Jesse land in Leeds and hit the ground running. The duo’s brand of scrappy indie rock teeters on a few different lines, at sometimes sounding brash, messy and warm a la The Libertines, while more recent work echoes MC5 and early Red Hot Chilli Peppers, like the funk-inflected “Pleasure Demo”, which you can check out below!
Fran Minney is our Artist Of The Week! Originally from Durham but now based in Leeds, this talented signer-songwriter creates dreamy and delicate music, with earnest lyrics set against bubbly, poppy electronic production work. Perfect quite moments on introspection, we think her latest single “Tracks” offers great insight into Minney’s incredibly lush voice and style. Check it out!
