Artist Of The Week: The Woods

We’ve picked The Woods as our Artist Of The Week! The Woods is the musical brainchild of Scottish producer/vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Johnny McFazden. With a soulful hypnotic voice that echoes with inflections of Jeff Buckley, backed by moody R&B-tinged electronic production reminiscent of some of James Blake’s early work, McFazden makes things his own by adding gentle folk-ish elements. A deft aural juggler, The Woods makes poignant music that gently commands your attention, and then rewards you for your time.
