Artist Of The Week: Marcus Man
Our Artist Of The Week is northern melt, Marcus Man! North West born-and-bred singer songwriter, Marcus Man is only at the beginning of his career. Since he started playing at open mics across Manchester, Liverpool & London for some time, he has been slowly releasing his first batch of songs. Drawing from the likes of Damien Rice, Gerry Cinnamon, and Van Morrison, his music has a lyrical focus and addresses themes such as heartbreak, coming of age, messing up (a lot), and other ordinary aspects of life.
His First EP, titled ‘More Than Me EP’ is out, and offers his first collection of thought-provoking tracks. Listen to the EP here:
Also, listen to his latest single ‘Growing Sideways’ here:
We’re absolutely in love with the northern-accent-heavy track ‘Growing Sideways’! Marcus talks about growing up and dealing with the changes in his life. Living in the same universe as The Kooks and Georg Ezra, the track is relatable, danceable, and brings back memories of being a teenager, jumping in your bed, and singing your head off into a TV remote control with no one around. Marcus is for sure only starting and has a bright career ahead, so get in there and support his journey before he blows up.
