Our Artist of The Week is Dvrk Romantics!
Dvrk Romantics (pronounced Dark Romantics) was born out of writers Micky Waters (bassist in The Answer) and Rachel Dibiaso, who have been collaborating on projects for the last few years in the sync and advertising world. With a love of blues, glam rock and indie music, the duo fused their unique styles together to make a sound that combines atmospheric vocals with hooky drums and cinematic nods. They said, “We both love Tarantino, Wes Anderson, western movies and cinema, so this is brought across in the music and the visuals of the band. We wanted to create music that was not too literal, a get-up-and-go, something that really makes you stop and think ‘Wow, that’s never been done before'”.

‘Trouble Won’t Wait’ is a fierce, glam/alt-rock-inspired, high-octane track written about that one person that everyone knows who is always getting into trouble, whether it be a friend, lover, or family member. Rachel’s vocals have been likened to that of Lana Del Rey, Lorde and Robyn, and it’s the eclectic mix of her voice paired with Micky’s production that brings every listener into the Dvrk Romantics sphere.
