Our Artist Of The Week is: HI SIENNA

HI SIENNA is a female-fronted, alternative-pop band from Manchester. Their unique sound, infectious melodies and boisterous live performances captivate audiences from start to finish.

‘Pride’ is one of those songs that you hear and immediately want to book tickets to see them live! The first 5 seconds pull you into an almost underwater-like, cleverly panned, instrumental moment, before a cool, husky vocal cuts through. It’s full of lyrical, melodical and even vocal hooks, and will be in your head for days.

Formed in late 2019, they bounced onto the scene with their debut single, Favourite Thing, headlined Manchester’s Deaf Institute and supported Scouting for Girls at the O2 Ritz. Lead singer Poppy-Jo’s vocals are often compared to the likes of Florence Welch and (a very manic) Bjork, with the band mostly taking influence from the 80s and 90s music scene and Manchester roots. Described as “a vibrant anomaly in both sound and vision”, HI SIENNA will soon be one of the biggest up-and-coming artists of 2022.
