Our Artist of the Week is ALT BLK ERA.  

ALT BLK ERA’s latest release, ‘Lost In The Back of My Mind’, feels less like a song and more like being pulled into a hazy, distorted headspace you can’t quite escape. Blending glitchy hyper-pop with heavy, guitar-driven intensity, the track is restless, immersive, and emotionally raw.

At the centre of the project are sisters Nyrobi and Chaya, who shape every part of ALT BLK ERA’s world with a clear, uncompromising vision. Their dynamic gives the music its edge, balancing vulnerability with aggression and melody with chaos in a way that feels instinctive rather than constructed. 

Over the past year, they’ve rapidly built a reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting alternative acts, translating their sound just as powerfully on stage as they do on record.
