Our brilliant Artist Of The Week is Jamie Button!
Since picking up an acoustic guitar at the age of 15, Jamie Button has been writing songs and performing constantly ever since. His early musical years saw him play in bands on the Glasgow music scene, honing his craft and gaining valuable experience playing iconic venues such as ABC1, King Tut’s and the Barrowlands.
‘Icons’ is the final single to be released from Button’s forthcoming debut album, ‘Lost in Local Life’. It marks the home stretch of publicity building up to the release of the album, which will be launched at a headline show at Glasgow’s King Tut’s on September 3rd 2022.

The lyrics to ‘Icons’ are about the importance of meaningful connection with people who matter to you, and a rejection of a society that reveres celebrities who are given god-like status. The track opens with a guitar riff that builds to a sing-a-long hook. Jamie’s songs are full and fun. Perfect for summer.
